Why Am I Blogging I Asked Myself

Cross pollination and better health are my answers.  I have and sometimes still do stay held up in the countryside of Pennsylvania for days on end.  But, recently, I've felt a need to put myself out there.  Like my husband says, "our secrets make us sick" and I think he's onto something.  Not that I'm out to share secrets, just thoughts and parts of my life.  I've found in the past that when I've put things out there to the universe, good and unexpected things come back.  So far, I've enjoyed seeing things come back when I've went out on a limb.  For example, I used to never share anything with anyone, kept to myself and did my own thing.  After 30 something years of that, I was recently taught that that was all in the name of fear.  What a revelation for me.  Fear of judgement.  Ahh, how I hate judgement, but, that is life.  People will judge.  So, now, I say, let them!  I still don't like it, but I'm not afraid and that is for better health.  And cross pollination, well, anyone care to add?

Thanks for stopping in, hope you stop by again.

My Husband My Hero

I saw that on a coworkers wall plaque once and thought,   mmmmm, wouldn't that be nice to have a relationship like that.  Years later, I've got it, my husband, my hero.  Whoda thunk it?  This weekend my husband is celebrating 5 years of being sober!  Go sweetheart!!  Congratulations and keep up the good work, I am so proud of you.  He says he just doing what he's supposed to do, but, I think he does way more than that.  He leaves every day from dawn to dusk to take care of his family AND keeps wood by the stove, he listens when I need to talk, he's the best father I've ever seen and I can't wait to see him every day.  Brian, I love you with all of my heart, keep on keepin' on, you're doing great!

Paterno Leave in Shame Like You Should

Coach, winningest record, blah blah blah~  None of that means a hill of beans to me, not that it ever did, but top it with overlooking- condoning, child rape [allegedly for now] and forget it~  GET OUT.  And you should go to jail with others; Sandusky, Spanier, Curley and McQueary.  The whole lot of child abusers- public disgrace and prison.  Good for the man who brought this out and good for the Penn State Board of Trustees who fired dear beloved "JoPa".  JoPa, if that was your grandson, would you have let it go????

Michele's Art

Michele's abstract works speak to my taste in art~ abstraction with a colorful yet muted palette and a soulful  resonance.  I hope to post more of her art in the future and soon she will open her own site on Etsy.com (a site for artists and artisans to sell their wares).  I will be sure to share the link when that happens.  Thanks for visiting!

Fall at Home

Assateague this summer

Ava in her boots

Pictures are always fun to look at.  I inspect them thoroughly and appreciate them more than words.  Ava's my sweetie and we share love every day.  I give her many hugs and kisses and she gives hugs back.  Our days have been flying by and now we watch the leaves fall.  The sheep's in the meadow, the cow's in the corn and the goats are on the road with the chickens.  Guess I'll go chase'em with the broom.  ha, another day in the country :)  Much love, Jen and Ava
